Visiting ringers on Saturday August 12th 2017

A number of members of the Ancient Society of College Youths now living abroad will be touring the UK during August, staying in Towcester between 9th and 13th. On Saturday 12th they will be spending the day in Northampton ringing at St Giles between 9.30am and 10.45am, at All Saints between 11am and 12.15pm and at Holy Sepulchre between 3pm and 4.30pm.

Service ringing during August 2017

As is customary there will be no service ringing at any of the town centre churches during August.

Visiting ringers - 29th July 2017

We welcomed another band of quarter peal ringers to the town on Saturday 29th July; this time all the ringers had an association with Birmingham University. They rang two quarter peals: Cambridge S Royal at St Giles and then Grandsire Caters at All Saints.

Visiting ringers - 22nd July 2017

Members of the Welsh Colleges Society of Ringers attempted to ring quarter peals at all four town centre churches on Saturday 22nd July 2017 but were only partially successful. The attempts at St Giles in the morning and at St Peter's after lunch failed, but 1296 Little Bob Royal was rung at All Saints just before lunch and the final attempt at Holy Sepulchre resulted in 1260 Grandsire Triples being rung.

May's fourth Wednesday practice

Normally the fourth Wednesday's practices are at St Peter's in Marefair. In May however the local theatre group who use the church for their public performances are performing in the church during the week commencing 22nd May so the Northampton Ringers Society practice on 24th May cannot take place there. Instead arrangements have been made for the Society to visit St Mary, Dallington, between 7pm and 9pm.
